This day trip from Prague will acquaint you with a city that has risen from the ashes of World War II like a mythical phoenix. Thanks to the continuous efforts of the city´s inhabitants, Dresden has been resorted to its original beauty. Departing Prague by luxury coach, head toward the Czech Republic's northern border with Germany and enjoy a scenic three-hour drive. You’ll reach Dresden in the late morning.

Upon arrival, visit the world-renowned Zwinger Gallery with its art collections by famous masters. See the Sistine Madonna by Raphael, and view more paintings by Titian, Lucas Cranach, Canaletto and other Flemish artists.

Next, pass though the Dresden Castle complex, which has been completely renovated, and visit the rebuilt Church of the Virgin Mary (Frauenkirche). This wonderful church is a dominant feature of the city and an icon of the city’s reconstruction after WWII.

After your guided tour, enjoy free time for lunch (own expense), shopping and more sightseeing. Don't miss the Blue Wonder, a steel bridge over the Elbe that is an impressive 482 feet (147 meters) of engineering. You can also see the Semper Opera House, a magnificent Roman building dating back to 1648; Richard Wagner presented many premieres of his work here.

You will return to Prague by coach in the late evening
