See the sights of Perth, Fremantle and the Swan Valley on a full-day tour that takes you from Kings Park and Cottesloe Beach in Perth to the historic port of Fremantle, with the option to cruise back to Perth along the Swan River. Then, to really get to know Western Australia’s capital city, you’ll spend the afternoon touring the beautiful Swan Valley, where you’ll visit local vineyards, sample the local wines and get up close to native wildlife at Caversham Wildlife Park.

After being picked up from your Perth hotel, or joining the tour at the Barrack Street Jetty, your first stop on your Perth full-day tour is the Kings Park Botanic Gardens, where you can see fabulous views of the Perth city skyline. Catch more views above the tree canopy when you take a walk along the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walkway, and keep a lookout for the 750-year-old baobab tree, relocated here from the central Australian desert.

Then, aboard your air-conditioned coach, listen to onboard commentary during a tour of Perth’s city sights. Drive past the legendary WACA cricket ground, the modernist bell tower next to the Swan River and the historic town hall, and take a ride down Perth’s grand main street, St Georges Terrace.

Your city tour then heads to the coast to visit Perth’s most famous stretch of sand, Cottesloe Beach, with its gently curving bay and elegant century-old hotel.

Heading south, follow the Stirling Highway over the Swan River to the historic port of Fremantle, where the river meets the sea. Admire the port’s prized collection of convict-built landmarks and heritage colonial-era buildings dating from the 1880s. If you’re visiting Fremantle on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you won’t want to miss a visit to the busy markets, where you can browse for unique gifts and purchase locally grown produce.

Leaving Fremantle, return to Perth’s Barrack Street Jetty by air-conditioned coach. Alternatively, upgrade your tour to return to the jetty on a Swan River cruise, which allows you to admire Perth’s waterfront homes and other river sights. You first half-day tour concludes at 12:30pm, leaving you 45 minutes of free time to grab a bite before boarding back on your coach at 1:15pm for your next tour.

In the afternoon, visit Perth’s premium food and wine destination, the Swan Valley. It’s a paradise for foodies, with local artisans producing cheese, honey, chocolate and wines in the oldest wine-growing region in Australia.

Stop first at a leading winery to enjoy a tasting of local wines. Then visit a local chocolate manufacturer, the much-loved Margaret River Chocolate Company, to indulge in some delicious, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate.

The next stop on your Swan Valley tour is Caversham Wildlife Park, home to more than 2,000 animals, birds and reptiles, housed in a walk-through environment. Get up close and have your picture taken next to koalas, and hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies.

Domesticated animals are on show at your next stop, Tumblegum Farm, where you can have a go at sheep-shearing and experience life on a rural farmstead.

Your Swan Valley tour makes one last stop at the Burswood Resort and Casino. You have the option of ending your tour here to try your luck at the tables, or staying on board the coach and being returned to the Barrack Street Jetty in Perth.
