Meet your friendly host inside one of Rome’s best enotecas (wine bars), roughly halfway between Piazza Venezia and Campo de' Fiori, and then sit down at an intimate table with just your small group of eight.

Recently awarded a seal of approval by American chef Anthony Bourdain, the establishment is fast gaining a reputation as the best gourmet eatery in town. Meet the charismatic owner and hear about regional cuisine throughout the Lazio region, and then learn about local wines from the bar's expert sommelier.

Sip on six different glasses of Lazio wines, and discover how their flavors are complemented by food. Italians rarely drink without eating, so follow the lead of your host and savor a typical Roman pasta dish (perhaps cannelloni or lasagne with vegetables in a white wine sauce) with chunks of artisan bread. A dessert wine called recioto di amarone della Valpolicella is then served along with a dessert of either chocolate pudding or fruit.

Whet your appetite for more? Upgrade to enjoy a further two courses, giving you a full Roman feast! After the main meal (as described above), you'll enjoy an inviting selection of six regional cheeses, six premium salamis and hams as well as a cold meat and smoked fish platter.
