In Versailles, you first stop will be a gourmet food market, where you can purchase any other ingredients you’d like to have during the picnic lunch (wine, cheese, fruit).

Your expert guide will introduce you to the local bakers, wine merchants and farmers who sell their fresh produce from their gardens at the charming Versailles markets. Your guide will walk you through the beautifully manicured Gardens of Versailles, explaining the history of Versailles, the royal family, Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution. Then take a break along the Grand Canal, where you will enjoy your delicious French lunch (artisan sandwich, pastry and drink included in the tour cost!).

Next, your guide will take you to the Palace of Versailles, where you’ll bypass the line and have immediate entry into the palace to see its famous features, like the Hall of Mirrors (site of the treaty ending World War I), the King's State Apartments and the amazing King's Chapel.
