Board your helicopter in central Paris and then take to the skies, soaring above the incredible City of Lights. Flying just west of the Seine River, look out for sights like Parc des Princes Stadium and Longchamp Racecourse on the edge of Boulogne Forest. After roughly 15 minutes in the air, you’ll find yourself flying over the handsome town of Versailles, passing directly above its star attraction -- the Palace of Versailles. What happens next is up to you. Simply choose from one of two different itineraries. Both tours include a route back to Paris that allows incredible views of the Eiffel Tower, Montparnasse and the business district of La Défense!

Flight and Break:
Touch down at an airfield outside of Versailles town, and head inside the base station to enjoy a hot drink inside. This standard option is the way to go if you’re a helicopter enthusiast, as the 1-hour break includes time spent with your pilot watching a video to learn about flying helicopters. Sit back and relax with your drink, and then pose for photos next to the helicopters before returning to Paris.

Flight and Palace of Versailles Entry:
Touch down at Versailles heliport and then walk the short distance back over to the palace itself. Head inside with your entrance ticket and then pick up your audio guide to start exploring. This incredible palace was once the stomping ground of 17th-century French royals and dignitaries, the best known being the flamboyant King Louis XIV – the man largely responsible for the palace as you see it today. Lavishly bedecked with gold and gilt, the Palace of Versailles oozes opulence at every twist and turn.

Stroll around the Grand Apartments while hearing tales of the foreign ambassadors who stayed once here, and then admire the impractical pomp of the King's Chambers – a series of bold and ostentatious rooms adorned with plush velvet and gold. While every room can claim a certain ‘wow’ factor, it’s the Hall of Mirrors that vies for the palace’s undisputed star status. Walk through the massive hall that overlooks Versailles Gardens, and marvel at its mirror-clad walls that catch the light bouncing from the ceiling’s magnificent chandeliers.

If time permits, head outside for an amble through Versailles Gardens, admiring the neatly arranged lawns and fountains against the backdrop of the palace. Walk back to the heliport independently, and then take to the skies again for your 10-minute ride back to Paris.
